How to make hair serum at home with coconut oil?

  • Use a grater to grate the Amlas into smaller portions. 
  • Put the Amlas in a cup of coconut oil and add about 20 table spoons of castor oil. 
  • Pour the mixture in a pan and melt it over low heat until it comes to boil. 
  • Sieve the mixture with a metal sieve. 
  • Pour the sieved mixture in a glass bottle with an eyedropper.

How to use the hair serum

  • Ensure you are applying the hair serum on clean hair.
  • Part your hair into smaller sections and apply the hair serum from your scalp using the eyedropper. 
  • Massage your hair for a few minutes to ensure the serum penetrates your hair cuticles. 
  • You can use this serum twice a day since it is lightweight and safe for use.

2.Homemade hair serum for dry hair using coconut oil

Additional equipment

  • 4 ounces glass bottle with an eyedropper

  • In a heatproof glass, put the coconut oil and melt it in a microwave. 
  • Pour all the ingredients into a measuring cup and use a stainless steel spoon to mix the ingredients. 
  • Using the small metal funnel, pour a the ingredients into the glass bottle.
  • Cover the bottle using the eyedropper and store in a cool dry place. 

How to use the serum

  • Place the glass bottle holding the mixture in a bowl of warm water to melt it. 
  • Part your hair into small sections for easy application.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons of cold pressed coconut oil. 
  • 6 tablespoons of freshly scooped Aloe Vera gel. 
  • 6 tablespoons of Rose water 
  • 6 drops of chamomile essential oil
  • 6 drops of tree tea essential oil
  • 6 drops of lavender essential oil. 
  • 3 tablespoons of vitamin E oil

Additional equipment

  • A blender
  • A heatproof glass
  • A small metal funnel
  • Measuring cup
  • 4 ounces glass bottle with eyedropper
  • A stainless steel spoon 

Method

  • In blender, place the freshly scooped Aloe Vera gel and blend until you can’t see any chunks. 
  • In a separate heatproof glass, put the Coconut oil and melt it in an oven.
  • Pour the Aloe Vera gel and the melted coconut oil in the measuring cup. 
  • Add all the other ingredients into the measuring cup and mix it using the stainless steel spoon. 
  • Use the small metal funnel to transfer the mixture to the glass bottle. 
  • Cover the bottle with the eyedropper and store in a cool dry place. 

How to use the hair serum

  • Since you are dealing with dry hair, you will first need to wash your hair then add a moisturizer. 
  • Part the hair into smaller sections then use the eyedropper to apply hair serum on the scalp.
  • Pour some five drops of the serum on your palms and apply on your hair.

  • A measuring cup
  • 3 ounces glass bottle with an eyedropper
  • Stainless steel spoon

Method

  • In the measuring cup, pour all the ingredients. 
  • Use the stainless steel spoon to stir the mixture until it is well mixed. 
  • Use the small funnel to transfer the serum from the measuring cup to the glass bottle. 
  • Cover the bottle with the eyedropper and store in a cool dry place. 

How to use the hair serum to straighten your hair?

  • You can apply this hair serum on dry or wet hair.
