However, we decided to focus on women who are letting their hair go "au nat-u-rel!" For too long, African-American women have gone to extreme lengths to change their hair's natural look and feel. With an increase of awesome natural hair products available to women and a wave of women deciding to show off their natural locks, it's no surprise that the natural hair "trend" has become a full-blown movement! This year, more and more female newscasters are showcasing their natural hair on the national air! And we couldn't be happier about it. While we are all for dying, cutting, straightening, blowing, and doing whatever it is you need to do for YOU to be happy with YOUR hair - there is something to be said about a woman not only owning but ROCKIN' her natural curls! Ever-resilient, Pam began wearing a wig after she lost her hair through chemotherapy. In 2014, she decided to ditch the wig and showcase her gorgeous, natural hair! Bravo!

While Stephanie left the news game earlier in the year, her six years as a reporter and anchor for Good Morning Charlottesville allowed viewers to watch great journalism and great hair! However, she wasn't always showcasing her natural locks. After dealing with breakage and the expense of relaxers, Satchell decided to go natural! According to Curly Nikki, a popular hair blogger, Satchell didn't feel like herself with chemically treated hair. So, she made the switch to go natural and has been loving it ever since! Although she retired from the news game on July 25th, 2012, she left a 37-year legacy that made her the ultimate Queen of the South! She is a mother, an award-winning journalist, breast cancer survivor, and rocker of natural hair! In Atlanta, she is known for always changing her hair and calls it "an accessory." Although she has done pretty much every imaginable thing you can do to your hair, recently, she has been seen almost entirely with her natural hair. When we e-mailed Monica to inform her she made our list, she replied by saying, "Hi, right now I have my hair braided and am wearing a white page boy wig." We had no idea what a "white page boy wig" was, so we looked it up. Apparently, they look something like this.
